Peppermint Bark

One of my favorite holiday traditions is making lots of sweet treats to give as gifts to loved ones and neighbors. Peppermint Bark makes a great holiday gift as it is both delicious and festive-looking. I like to break it up into shards and package them in holiday-themed bags or boxes.

Ingredients:

  • 24 oz dark chocolate

  • 24 oz white chocolate

  • 8 - 10 candy canes

Instructions:

Prepare two sheet pans by lining them with wax paper. Crush candy canes into very small pieces and set aside. Slowly melt dark chocolate using a double boiler at medium low temperature. Pour melted chocolate evenly over the two lined sheet pans and spread using a rubber spatula. Repeat with white chocolate (making sure the double boiler is clean and dry) and spread it carefully over the top of the dark chocolate. Sprinkle crushed candy canes over the top of the chocolate and press gently if necessary. Allow to cool for a few hours before breaking into shards and serving or packaging.
