Wooden disk ornaments
I know a lot of us have kids home right now, and it can be hard to get in the holiday spirit when stress levels are high. This homemade wooden ornament craft is easy to make, is a fun and engaging activity for the kiddos and a way to create lasting memories. Handmade ornaments are also a perfect gift for the grandparents!
You will need
saw
2-3 inch in diameter tree branch (or precut wooden disks)
drill
acrylic paints
ribbon
Instructions
This is literally the easiest craft to make, and so fun for the little ones! If you have a table or circular saw and a drill you can very easily make the 1/8th inch thick tree rounds with any fallen tree branch. If you do not have any of these things you can easily find precut wood discs at most craft stores.
Once you have your wooden disks use a drill to make holes at the top, large enough to string a ribbon through. Once you have done that you are ready to paint! You can stick to traditional holiday colors or get as crazy and creative as you want. Varnish if desired. Allow to dry and then string your ribbon through, tying a bow at the top allowing for plenty of hanging space.
