I have been perfecting my game-day wing recipe for many many years now. It is requested frequently by friends and family members for game nights, anniversaries and holiday parties. Make this recipe now; you will not regret it!
Serves 2-4
Ingredients:
2 dozen butchered chicken wings
1 cup Siracha hot sauce
1/2 cup honey
2 Tbs butter
salt and pepper to taste
sesame seeds and chopped green onion for garnish (optional)
Directions:
Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Season chicken with salt and pepper and place on a wire rack on top of a sheet pan. Cook for 45-50 minutes, turning over wings after 25 minutes. While chicken is cook combine Siracha, honey, butter and salt and pepper in a medium pot. Heat on the stove top on low for about 10 to 15 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside. Remove chicken from the oven and using tongs, place wings into the sauce pot, make sure that each wing is thoroughly covered. Place wings back on the rack and cook for another 5-10 minutes. Remove from oven and baste with remaining sauce. Broil wings for about 2 minutes on each side. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onion and serve with ranch or blue cheese dressing.
